In the story of Beowulf there is a creature named Grendel.  Here is the authors description of him:


Evil suited Grendel.  Half-man, half fiend, he was an extraordinary creature with supernatural strength.  Covered in a green, horny skin that no sword could cut through, he came from a race of sea monsters, giants  and other outcasts.


Can you describe the monster below in four sentences that are as effective as these?  Remember to think about adjectives (descriptive words for the monster).

Using adverbs

This week we have been looking at how adverbs can make your sentences more meaningful.  There are 10 verbs and 10 adverbs in the list below.  Can you make 10 sentences using at least each word once.  There should be one verb and adverb in each sentence.  Don't write them down.  Type them up and post them to this blog!
