Awesome Alliteration

In class for the past two weeks we have been looking at journalistic writing (being reporters).  Can you write the first paragraph for a newspaper report about the school.  Imagine that we have found an ancient treasure chest full of gold.  Make sure that you use an alliterated title - all of the words beginning with the same letter.

I have done an example for an earthquake - remember you need to do a treasure chest!

My example:

Now you have a go.

  1. Gold glorious gold…..

    Longfields pupils arrived at school with a big surprise on Monday morning;
    Mr. Booth had found a large, rather old looking treasure chest.
    Apparently it contains Gold?? But they are unsure as have yet been unable to open the treasure chest. Mr Hill has contacted local locksmiths to attempt to open it up later in the week, so we will keep you updated on the situation.

    On the 24th of January 2011 the keystage 2 puipls of Longfields Priamary School Bicester got a shock as there was a hole in the field. The hole was there beacuse the Headmaster Mr Hill had tried to plant a tree as he thought the field was bare. As they were digging they hit something very hard so they made the hole bigger and bigger intill they could see all of the object and they were astonished to find that the objet was a huge chest alleged containg gold.

  8. Glorious gold discovery

    On the first day of the school term at 12:37 pm longfields primary school and nursery made a fantastic discovery.It seems to be a treasure chest, but no one know's what is in side it because the lock is an incrypted puzzle which as yet no'one has been able to solve. Mr Hill (the headmaster) is appealing to any puzzle buffs that may be able to help solve the puzzle to open the chest!
